Torco's CompetitionPlus.com has learned that former NHRA POWERade Funny Car driver and multi-time national event winner Al Hofmann died today from a massive heart attack while at his Eustis, Florida home.

As many of you know, I am a professional. In business we're taught that it's never good to sling mud about people. I have learned that it is always better to keep cool, and a level head about things.
It is at this point, I want to share something that happened to me recently that really makes me mad.
I hired Altered Steel, a fabrication shop owned by Kirk Deninno, to perform a chinese menu of sorts on the Olds Cutlass Race car. In November, I took the car in, and the work was supposed to take 2 weeks..well, we all know how that can turn into 4, etc..I can handle that. The part were he took alot of money from me, and basically left me hanging out to dry is the part I have a hard time swallowing. Kirk is the perfect example of a lame, poor ass business person, that will be a failure for the rest of his career. He will always be a talented fabricator, but he lacks social skills.. the Attorneys will reiterate to him that he has alot to learn being a professional. I was able to contact the building owner, and was able to recover most of my parts, and the car is now in my possesion..6 weeks behind schedule.

..had a great time, once again. A really big thanks to Mike Kent for hosting, I know it's a ton of hard work to put this event on. Also, a big cheers to Dave Ley and his clan, as the event cannot possibly move efficiently without your efforts. Mike produced a fantastic DVD entitled " Northeast Bracket Racing, featuring Stock & Super Stock vol. 1 " is available HERE!!!!!! The backround tracks are from musical projects that I have done over the years.. Well Done!!
I managed to pull off a .001 grouping to win the prestigious "bogey" race for the second year in a row, which was cool. Bud McNasby kicked all that ass in the high roller race, and made me a few bucks, as I was his "backer". It should also be known that he was doing it all on the bottom bulb folks. I know a good horse when I see one. Other than that, I did OK.
I am looking forward to racing my new cars this season, and run some footbrake races all around D-1.

..I'll post pics next week. The stocker is golden..parked, and ready for next year...but, that's never enough for me..I bought a 25.5 Outlaw car, and beautiful Olds Cutlass that I plan to bracket race all year long next season. I can't wait. Bottom Bulb, for sure.

..did some testing last week, and found the car to really repeat better than ever, after some tuning mods to the Big Stuff system via Don Bailey. What an amazing wealth of Knowledge. I got down to 5 cars in Super Pro, racing some fast as shit dragsters, and without the aid of a delay box, did well on the tree. It is just a matter of time until the win win light begins to burn bright in my lane.
